Auditions for “Il Mikado”

Troupers is please to announce auditions for Gilbert and Sullivan’s most popular operetta, “The Mikado,” on November 13 & 14, 2017 at Union Memorial Church, 58 Church St, Stamford, Ct, from 7 to 10 pm. The show will be directed by Kevin Miller with music direction by Eric Kramer.

“Il Mikado” is “The Mikado” with character and place names changed form Japan to Milan. All music and dialog is otherwise unchanged. All roles are open. To audition, please prepare 2 songs in English in operetta style. They need not be from the show, but songs from the show are suggested below. An accompanist will be provided. Be sure to bring sheet music in the correct key.

Those auditioning for chorus need only sing part of one song of your choice. Just bring sheet music for the accompanist. We won’t make this hard: we really want you to join us!
