The Troupers Light Opera Company is a longstanding happy musical theater tradition in the Stamford area. This year, their 67th, the Company mounted Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Mikado” at Dolan Middle School, presenting four performances over the weekend. Though low on lavish sets or large choruses, this “Mikado” succeeded by dint of high energy and pointed, committed characterizations, all, of course, within the boundaries of Gilbert’s witty dialog and lyrics and Sullivan’s marvelous music.
